Workshops
We have two groups. We meet every week. We like to dance, we like to do art and of course we act! We enjoy socialising, making friends and talking to everyone. We play a lot of drama games. On Wednesdays we are making masks at the moment. On Thursdays we are making short performances about our lives.
Performances for fun
We make plays that are fun. We will broaden your imagination. We educate. We will teach you the secrets of the universe. We make our own theatre performances from our own ideas and experiences.
Training
Some of our performances are part of training for businesses and organisations like the NHS and other health and social care professionals. These organisations often ask us to devise a new show about a particular issue that they are training their staff about. Through our performances we are able to share with people what it is like to live with a learning difficulty. For some people it is the first time they have met anyone with a learning difficulty.
We want to change peoples attitudes towards people with learning difficulties, to show people who we are and what we can do.
Nightclubs
Art
We make things like edible men, giant ducks and cigarettes. Barry paints on canvas and our tables. Gaynor has made giant colourful screens. Some people write poetry and make up their own songs.
