Hi, I am Tim. I love using my imagination, I use my improvisation skills, thinking about what I want to write about and then performing.
Being in the poetry group is important to me, I’m with all my friends and we have a bit of a laugh and I make people laugh and chuckle with what I write. I write about things I do in my everyday life.
I really like going on trips, writing poetry, being published in books, performing to large crowds and making films. It makes me feel happy, some of my poems people find quite powerful and some of my poems make people laugh.
See below for a selection of my favourite poems.

I wrote this about some sounds that I hear in my everyday life, some I remember from the past and some I’ve imagined.
I Listen to Sounds
I listen to dogs barking like mad
I listen to traffic, reminds me of Dad
I listen to music, my favourite is pop
I listen to arguments when will they stop
I listen to birds, I love how they tweet
I listen to cats meow when I give them a treat
I listen to classic sounds like off a cartoon
I listen to people walking, I hope it will end soon
I listen to video games, magic and sounds, like sonic
I listen to a barman pouring gin and tonic
I listen to a robot, he gives me advice
I listen to casino, sounds like rolling dice
I listen to waves on the dark beach crash down
I listen to loud music from clubs out of town
I listen to airplanes zoom across the night sky
I listen to wind while on my bed, that’s no lie
I listen to bones click, when I move my arm
I listen to owls but that won’t be any harm
I listen to my housemate snoring while he is asleep
I listen to the dream-sea even from the deep

In our poetry group we were looking at rhythm and structure and nursery rhymes. We looked at Twinkle Twinkle Little star and Mary Had a Little Lamb and I wrote Gather Gather little Mouse.
Gather, Gather, little Mouse.
Gather, gather little mouse
Where are you in my house
Are you hiding in a hole
Looking like a tiny mole
Can’t find you on the floor
Maybe you’re near my door
And your cowering like a duck
Man, how this does suck
Just remembered I have a cat
He’s sat down on my mat
Watching the mouse go by
And keeping a watchful eye
I also have a little dog
She is sleeping on a log
Doesn’t care about the rodent
It’s just enjoying the moment
The mouse then got away
Maybe found another way
Of exiting the giant wall
Which is so very tall

I wrote this because pigs can’t fly but there’s a saying that pigs fly. We were doing a project about flight and I thought it would be good to write about a pig that could fly.
Pigs in the sky
I am in the sky and look!
There’s a pig.
Not a small one,
but no, it’s very big.
I am thinking about that one line
where pigs fly,
But they can’t,
not even way up high.
So why is there a pig
away from the ground?
Perhaps it got lonely
since nobody is around.
This pig loves it up here,
Says it’s fun,
I am worried it will get roasted,
By the sun.
The pig wants to stay,
In one place,
I noticed it’s wearing shoes,
But with no lace.
I’m worried,
I can’t get the pig down,
So I grabbed it and flew off,
Across the town.

Our poetry group went to visit ‘We The Curious’ there was an exhibit that said ‘Is there another you in the universe’ and I thought about it and wrote this poem.
Is there another me in the universe?
Yes, I believe so, because of an evil me
I feel he’s taunting me, but I cannot see!
I call, where is he, or it?
It replies “I’m an anti-social git!”
I said “is your heart made of glass?”
But it said “Kiss my ass!”
“well you want to learn poke rap?”
I said to the evil me.
It said back, “I don’t give a crap!”
“You are an evil beast!”
That’s what I said.
Then followed, “You’re not getting a feast!”
It said “I hate you”
I said “hate you too!”
Then said “Why are you here on planet earth?”
He said “I want you and your net’s worth!”
I said “you’re not going near my cash, now go away!”
And just like that, he was gone in a flash!
