Misfits were delighted to be invited to perform poetry for Bristol Community Festival, as part of Bristol City Council‘s closing celebration at City Hall on Saturday 13th June!
It was an incredible audience and a great event. Our group performed many brilliant, funny and moving poems about fast talking, aliens on buses, feeling trapped in a cage, flying to freedom and standing up for our rights.
Our poetry group meet to write every Friday afternoon. Sometimes we want to talk about serious things like our disabilities or the world around us, other times we like to make people laugh and think about the things we love. We perform our poetry all over Bristol, have exhibitions and make films.
