Are you passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities to create daring, playful, original performance?
Would you like to support our work to prevent social exclusion of people with learning disabilities and challenge perceptions through creative expression?
If so, this role could be for you.
Misfits are looking to recruit up to 4 new Trustees with diverse backgrounds to join our Board to help continue our work.
Who we are looking for:
We would love to hear from people with a whole range of experience. In particular we would love to hear from you if you have experience in any of the following areas:
- Theatre, Film, Poetry, Dance and Participatory Arts
- Disability and Access Awareness
- Human resources and/or employment law
- Public relations, Marketing and/or communications
- Accountancy and/or financial risk management
Experience of co-working with people with learning disabilities or working with small charities or arts organisations would also be great.
A great understanding of Bristol, the city in which we deliver our core work, would also be really valuable to help us engage more people with the work we do.
We are an Equal Opportunities Employer and would love to hear from people from all walks of life.
You do not need prior Board experience to become a Trustee.
We would particularly love to hear from younger people, people with lived experience of disability, LGBTQIA+ and those from the Global Majority community.
