Misfits perform at Bristol Walk Fest launch event

On Friday 1st May our Artistic Lead Anita and Misfits poets Bill and Rob spoke at Bristol Walk Fest’s launch event!

We spoke about Misfits on The Move, our audio walk which guides you around Bristol Harbourside with poems from our poetry group. Anita spoke about the process of making this audio walk, and Bill and Rob shared some of their poems.

Feedback from the audience said:

“We heard a selection of really engaging poems. It felt like they have such a nice sense of community and friendships in their group.”

“The embodiment of being inclusive!”

Our audio walk Misfits on the Move is FREE and available to listen by clicking the button below – you will need to download the ECHOES app.

Bristol Walk Fest happens for the whole month of May, with many walking activities! There is something for everyone, from nature trails, hikes, historical tours to walking sports, family-friendly strolls and cultural walks.

“In my experience, the Misfits have always delivered high quality performances that bring home the reality of life for people with learning disabilities in a way that audiences can’t ignore. I have found them to be very creative about getting the message across and always extremely professional.”
