Misfits Sharing with Bristol Community Festival

Last Friday 28th March we had a lovely sharing from our Drama and Poetry group at our base in St Paul’s Learning Centre, as part of Bristol Community Festival!

It was a special sunny day with a drama performance in the main hall, poetry performance in our Misfits hub and a chance to look around our exhibition in the cafe!

Our drama group showcased a shower warm-up, an orchestra of voices and a fashion show, before sharing their stories of 3 birthday parties with disastrous results! The parties were set in a magic school, a Hollywood mansion, and a fairy-tale palace.

We then went into our Misfits hub for a performance from our poetry group, spanning group and individual poems about flight, kissing, disco balls, individual experiences and more!

Thank you to Bristol Community Festival for your support in putting on this event, and to everyone who came along to watch!

“In my experience, the Misfits have always delivered high quality performances that bring home the reality of life for people with learning disabilities in a way that audiences can’t ignore. I have found them to be very creative about getting the message across and always extremely professional.”
