Hi I am Alistair, when I joined the poetry group, poetry was new to me and it made me feel good.
When I write poetry I talk about different things, people listen to my words, it makes me feel famous.
I like poetry, my favourite things to write about are, being wild and being happy.
This poem is about protesting and standing
up for what you believe.
Wild Man
Birds are chirping away
Singing like freedom
people are protesting
I stand by them
I am a nice person
I am a wild man
I smile to my friends
I say WHOOSH, CRASH, KABOOM.
This poem is about being a dog, sometimes I like thinking about being a dog.
Happy Soul
Tell me about the sound of music,
thunder, fireworks, rain
Tell me about walks, family, friends
The world says to me
be kind to others and be loved
I am a happy soul as a dog
Dog loves people and dog loves owner
Dog loves food that my owner gives me
To be loved and taken care of
To play and be made a fuss of
The world calls to me with rain like
cats and dogs with grey black clouds
moving across the landscape
This poem is about not wanting to be a pet and wanting to be wild.
Flight
I am a bird
I can fly
I want to fly away from my cage
I want to get away from being a pet
be free
be a wild bird
I don’t want to be in my cage
I just want to be free
I don’t want to be a pet no more
people are locking me in a cage
I want to be free
the cage is small and dirty
Be wild is what I want
Some people say I shouldn’t do the things I like, I say I can.
