I’m Beth – I love writing poetry, I enjoy discovering new poets and writing in different ways, like Haiku’s and concrete poetry, using rhyme and alliteration. I love creating rhythm with rhyme, I do it all the time, I just love playing with words.
Sometimes I write about my disability, these things are important to me. Writing poetry means I get my voice heard and inspire people.

Turn Your
Turn your banging into clanging
Turn your spitting into knitting
Turn your slap into a cheese bap
Turn your kick into a flick or a lick
Turn your punch into lunch
Turn your pinch into a wink
Turn your frown upside down
Turn your anger into a panda
Look to your left and right and start a fight

My Zoo
Lion in lounge lazily
Terrifyingly tarantula in the toilet
Koala’s kindly kissing in the kitchen
beetles busily beetling in the basement
kangaroos keenly kicking kids
Pissed penguins pissing in the pantry
Busy bears burrowing busily in the bath
Cats cuddling cosily in the cupboard
Dizzily donkeys danced on the dustbins
Stripy sausage dog stretching sociably on the sofa
Excitably elephants escaping the entrance
Frightened frogs frolicking in the fridge fantastically

See Me
I am who I am
I was born to be me
So don’t say I can’t, because I can
Just see me
not my disability
