Relay Your Way came to The Misfits Theatre Company as part of their relay!
Relay Your Way is an epic relay across Britain championing the 1.5 million young people in the UK with disabilities, including half a million children living with brain conditions. The Relay sends the powerful message that sport, adventure and play should be inclusive to all.
On day 25 of the race Relay Your Way handed the baton to our poetry group. Our poets then enjoyed performing their original poetry for the athletes and passing the baton on so they could continue with their charity event.
Liam one of our poets said about taking part, ‘It was really inspirational to be involved. I was nervous to perform at first but then I was okay’.
The group really enjoyed the visit and hope to join in with the event next year.
