Movement
Our movement workshops give a space for people to be themselves and enjoy moving to music.
Our Movement sessions are a space for members to come together, move to music, learn dance skills and make friends! We love improvisation and in these classes we listen to some great music, get really creative and produce meaningful work.
From September 2026, we now have two Movement sessions:
Movement for Performance – Thursdays 10:30 – 12pm
This session is about having fun, creating dances together through improvisation, learning skills and exploring different styles of movement.
It will be for dancers who like to perform, experiment together and want to rehearse to create work to share with audiences.
Movement for Exercise – Thursdays 1 – 2pm
This is an enjoyable, gentler session for people who enjoy moving and dancing to different kinds of music. It is about moving your body and dancing together in whichever way makes you comfortable.
Our workshops are weekly at St Paul’s Learning Centre, and cost £15 per session (paid in 12 week terms – £180 total)

“In my experience, the Misfits have always delivered high quality performances that bring home the reality of life for people with learning disabilities in a way that audiences can’t ignore. I have found them to be very creative about getting the message across and always extremely professional.”Sue Turner, Learning Disability Lead, National development Team for Inclusion
