On Saturday 18th May, Misfits will be performing at the Ardagh Café in Horfield as part of the My Community Bristol Festival.

Misfits Poets (Beth, Bill, Liam, Claire, Tim, Rob and Rachael) are delighted to have been invited to perform at this inclusive celebration. The day will be a showcase of the creative talents of disabled artists, writers, filmmakers, and performers from our community. Misfits will take to the stage at 12 noon so make sure you don’t miss this opportunity to catch them live as they share poems that are funny, moving, poignant, insightful and everything in between.

The wider event starts from 10am and will include exhibitions, performances, stalls, and a range of accessible workshops and taster activities from local groups. Lunch will be available from the Café on the Common, served by project volunteers.

Our very own ‘Rhythm of the Night‘ DJ’s, David and Will will be finishing the event with a silent disco taking place from 6pm – 8pm, making it a perfect event for all.

The celebration has been created by the My Community Bristol action group. It is in partnership with Southmead Development Trust, Ardagh Community Trust & other organisations across North Bristol.

This will be a fantastic day. A chance to experience a range of creativity, try some activities, and enjoy performances, film screenings from exhibitions and more!

“It felt good performing. It felt like a proper performance at the showcase – it was proper and real. I felt really proud and happy and excited and I can’t wait to do it again”.
